School Visits

Terri will customize a visit to your school, answering such questions as “How did you become a writer?” and “Where do you get your ideas?” and “Do you draw the pictures?”

She would love to create large or small workshops designed for your students’ needs and interests.

Fee: $250 per 45 to 60-minute session + expenses

[tab name=’Manuscript Consultations’]

Picture Book Consultations

Submit two copies of a typed, professionally-formatted picture book manuscript (up to 1500 words) and sample cover letter (optional).

Terri will read your story and provide you with hand-written notes, and arrange for a minimum one-hour consultation either in person (within a 10-mile radius of downtown Olympia) or by phone.

If you submit a revision of the original manuscript (not a new story inspired by the edit) within 30 days of the hour consultation, Terri will include an additional 30-minute verbal evaluation of the rewrite.

Fee: $150

Easy Reader / Chapter Book Consultations

Submit one copy of a typed, professionally formatted manuscript (up to 50 pages), sample cover letter (optional), and single-page synopsis.

Terri will provide you with hand-written notes and a one-hour consultation for:

Overview of the work: Answering such questions as: Is the plot working? Pacing? Are the characters believable? Is the voice consistent?
Fee: $250

Line edit: The above, plus notes on the manuscript suggesting edits for additions, deletions, grammar corrections.
Fee: $250 + $2.50/page

Middle Grade or YA Novel Consultations

Submit one copy of a typed, professionally formatted manuscript up to 200 pages, sample cover letter (optional), and single-page synopsis.
